A Day Of Teaching

Last Thursday I spent the day in Cherry HiIl, New Jeresey, teaching and training about 60 Chiropractic physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of the shoulder and upper extremity. I've been teaching Chiropractors for 30 years and love to share the knowledge and skills that I have obtained to help them help more people live better lives.

How Well Adjusted Are You?

A Chiropractic physician is a primary care professional who is focused on delivering care that is safe, natural and effective through chiropractic adjustment. Today, many people still don’t know what chiropractic adjustment is. In this video, Dr. David Graber, an ANJC Chiropractic Physician, joins Dr. Donald DeFabio to talk about chiropractic adjustment, its benefits and so much more.

Children Shouldn't Specialize In One Sport

For years I've been sounding off on children having a diverse experience in athletics and not to specialize in one sport. Last month a report from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) agreed with my view and laid out a list of detrimental effects of children specializing in specific sports.
They provided guidance to pediatricians, physicians, and parents on providing a healthy experience in youth sports. They provided the below pictograph outlining the recommendations:

Seeing a Chiropractor First For Back Pain Results In Lower Costs

Image result for back pain work
Does who you see first to diagnose and treat an episode of back pain matter? Yes!

A study out this weekend compared the costs in compensation for work-related back pain when the patient saw either an MD, a physical therapist (PT) , or a Chiropractor. The result?

Those that saw a Chiropractor first had lower costs. Those who first saw a PT had the highest costs.

This gives more support for having Chiropractors as the gatekeeper for worker's compensation back injuries.
